“Some old fashion things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat.” Laura Ingalls Wilder
The 2017 Heirloom Easter Basket Collection is here! We are calling this one “Fresh Air and Sunshine” because nothing makes me breathe a little deeper and smile a little bigger than those first signs of Spring and Easter time. This is probably my favorite collection to date…it feels perfect for our brand and style and hopefully your style too! Without further ado, here’s the collection. Read below for the inspiration and story behind these baskets.
This collection was inspired by early spring days- you know the ones where there’s a little chill in the air but the sun is shining bright and the colors of the world are starting to come alive?! I always love to see where people find get their inspiration from so here’s the mood board that started this collection.
Heavily inspired by soft linen fabrics, this year’s newest collection has a tiny nod to vintage springs (that tiny floral print with the bunnies! Squeal! And oh a scallop bug print!) but has that classic feel of traditional pastels that make this a true timelessly collection.
Gingham gets a pretty makeover this year with a watercolor print and tone on tone monograms. If ever there was a basket destined for Easter pictures with tiny white church shoes, jon jons and ruffle jumpers, this one is it!
And my ultimate favorite of this collection- the Chambray baskets. If I had to pick a basket to represent the Easter’s of my childhood-this would be it. Simple and sweet, classic and timeless- It floods me with memories of Sunday dinners outside with family. The kids in their Easter best picnicking on a quilt nearby in the grass and toddling through the yard barefoot searching for eggs.
Take a deep breathe with me, drink in that cool crisp air and soak up that beautiful sunlight. Easter is coming- go see the whole collection and more!
